Robert Hill
and Mary Webb were wed on February 9, 1642 in Northumberland, England.
It was at the height of the English Civil War, when Protestants were at odds
with the ruling Catholic Church. Ancestral File Number: K62V-HC 1 ATTR ANCESTOR Robert and Mary came to Isle of Wight Co., VA on the ship Abigail in 1642. The father of Robert maybe Samuel Hill of England who was a member of the so called Sir John Hill Family but this has not been proven. Ralph Hill a son of Samuel is said to have emmigrated into New England while Robert the younger brother of Ralph Hill is said to have come to Virginia.
